| SVW’s End-user Retail Volume in July Ranked First Again
|
With an end-user retail volume of 38151 units of cars, SVW ranked first again in terms of the retail volume in July, following its first place in retail volume in June.
Usually July is a low season for the auto market. This July the car market shrank substantially owing to the price rise of fuels, the tightened control over the auto market in Beijing during the Olympic Games and other unfavorable factors. The latest statistics from the passenger vehicle market information association indicate that a total of 387,000 cars were sold on the Chinese market, with a sharp decrease by 2.5% compared with the same period last year. In spite of the weak market performance and smaller consumption, SVW still reaped a satisfying sales volume and, with an end-user retail volume of 38151 units of cars, the company once again kept its first place in terms of the retail volume in July, following its first place in June with a retail volume of 40,124 units of cars. Information shows that in the first half of the year SVW sold a total of 253,243 units of cars, with a much bigger increase than that of the total Chinese market over the same period last year. SVW’s sustained and stable market competitiveness is attributable to the company’s sound product portfolio and effective service network. With the upgrading of the existing models like Santana and Touran and the launch of the new model Lavida, SVW’s comprehensive competitiveness has continuously manifested itself. In addition, as SVW is the automobile partner of the Beijing Olympic Games, a series of its successful Olympic promotion activities has also contributed to the up-going SVW market.
While SVW’s various mature models are giving a stable sales performance, its newly-launched Lavida is also well received on the market. Although the output was limited by the production bottleneck, a retail volume of more than 5000 units of Lavida Langyi was still achieved in a matter of one month after its market launch, and the model quickly fought its way into the mainstream Class A notchback sedans.
